Shree Yoga is delighted to debut Walk Softly, a new seasonal workshop series that will bring masterful yoga teachers to Taos for a weekend of deep practice in community. Walk Softly explores the question: how do we create and access sustainable, world-class yoga that’s better for everyone, from practitioners to planet?
To Walk Softly is to be aware of where you place your feet and why; to move connected to something bigger than yourself, with the greater good in mind. Yoga, not just the image of today’s practice but rather the ancient whole practice of Yoga, teaches one how to Walk Softly in a raw and ever changing world.
Walk Softly honors Shree Yoga’s commitment to offering extraordinary yoga experiences for ordinary people. At a time when yoga is misconstrued as only for a certain type of person, of a certain age, wearing certain pants, in a certain environment, with certain music, this project is an opportunity to bring into the fold those who don’t fit or don’t want to fit into a certain mold.
Walk Softly launches September 13 – 15, 2019; register before August 10 for Early Bird rates!
Our inaugural weekend will be led by Marc Holzman, a certified Ayurveda practitioner and Amrit Yoga Nidra teacher with over 18 years’ experience teaching Hatha yoga and meditation. He currently lives in both L.A. and Paris for greater access to the workshops, teacher trainings, and retreats he teaches across the globe. He can also be found across the ethers via his many classes streamed on Yogaglo.com. His signature Ayurveda health coaching program, Evolutionary Habits, has been accelerating the wellness path of students since 2012.
Twelve years ago, Marc founded Guerilla Yogi, a donation-based community class, to encourage students of all economic circumstances to experience the joy of yoga. Guerilla Yogi continues to thrive in Paris where it has gained tremendous momentum.
Early Bird tickets are now available. Sign up today for the full weekend, or choose a la carte classes that fit into your schedule. Scroll down to find full class details.
Yoga and our Future: September 13 – 15, 2019
Ayurveda Meets Asana: What does HOME mean for you?
Often there is a longing to return to a place that feels familiar and anchored. There may even be a tinge of nostalgia which carries with it a bittersweet sensation in the Heart. Ayurvedically, as we enter the Autumn season, the energy of Vata becomes prevalent causing us to feel ungrounded and homeless in the body/mind/heart. It’s at this time that we turn towards practices that stabilize the volatile elements of Air and Space.
Marc will guide you through a Vata-pacifying practice of warmth, steadiness, and grounding; a practice to welcome you home into each and every cell, and fully into the space that surrounds you.
Register now for the full weekend and save!
